Maple enthusiasts and professionals from across the world who share a common passion for these fascinating plants all got together on the east coast of the U.S. for our most recent Triennial International Maple Symposium—aka the Maple Lovers Extravaganza

We enjoyed an array of interesting workshops and speakers, covering such topics as collecting maples from the wild, the technical aspects of fall coloration, drone use in microclimate monitoring for long-term conservation, the historical journey of the genus Acer, growing maples from a commercial perspective, and more!

 

Attendees also enjoyed special field trips to horticultural gems including Duke Gardens, JC Raulston Arboretum, Juniper Level Botanic Garden and Plant Delights Nursery.
